Yearly Breakdown

Year One

• Students forge a solid understanding of core biological sciences and principles underpinning human nutrition.
• Modules include Human Physiology, Skills for Academic & Professional Success, Food, Lifestyle and Society, Introduction to Food Science, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Genetics, and Sustainable Food Systems.

Year Two

• Further development of knowledge and understanding of concepts relating to health and nutrition.
• Modules include Health Coaching Conversations, Medical Microbiology and Immunology, Nutrient Metabolism, Evidence-Based Practice, Pharmacology (Master's route only), and Fundamentals of Nutrition.

Year Three

• Master's route: Disease Aetiology and Management, Sports and Performance Nutrition, Nutrition through the Life-Course, Nutrition Placement, Clinical Nutrition, Epidemiology in Public Health, and Nutrition in Media Communication.
• BSc (Hons) route: Disease Aetiology and Management, Nutrition through the Life-Course, Nutrition Placement, Clinical Nutrition, and Epidemiology in Public Health.

Year Four

• Master's route: Current Issues in Nutrition Science, Nutrition in Practice, Enterprise for Health, Demonstrating Impact, and Research Project.
